Our short films at the international festivals in April

The 2nd edition of the LJMU MA Short Film Festival - a short film festival organized by students of Liverpool John Moores University - takes place in Liverpool on 1-8 April. Among the films qualified for the competition is the fictional film "Kattowitz" (2020), dir. Michał Piotrowski and the documentary "Holding your breath" (2021), dir. Katarzyna Sikorska. Karol Ulman - a student of directing at the Kieślowski Film School - was invited to one of the three juries. He is also the laureate of the last year's festival for the film "End of the World".

We will also have a strong film representation in April at German festivals. "Flora" (2021), dir. Karolina Monwid-Olechnowicz will compete for awards in Potsdam during the 51st edition of the Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival. "The Hero" (2021), dir. Milena Dutkowska qualified for the international competition of the 45th Internationale Grenzland-Filmtage in Selb. "Vyraj" (2020), dir. Agnieszka Nowosielska and "End of the World" (2020), dir. Karol Ulman invited for the international competition of the 22. Landshut Short Film Festival in Munich. In turn, "East West" (2020), dir. Natalia Koniarz will represent the School in the short film competition of the FiSH Film Festival in Rostock.

Three films produced at the Kieślowski Film School will be shown in Groningen, the Netherlands, at the Flicks International Student Short Film Festival. They will compete for the awards: "Forever" (2021), dir. Aleksandra Kamińska, "Mother's Day" (2021) dir. Patryk Kaflowski and "The Cabin" (2021) dir. Bartosz Toboła. Patryk Kaflowski's film will also be seen by the audience of the Portuguese Lisboeta International Short Film Festival.
