Applications are now being accepted for the fourth edition of the "Freedom of Research" competition. It focuses on young scientists and researchers who are returning to research after a long break. In addition, it can also include scientists who have not been able to implement research projects.
We encourage representatives of all faculties at the University of Silesia to apply.
A total of up to PLN 1,000,000 was allocated to finance research activities for the competition's fourth edition. Scientists can obtain funding for activities such as research and consultation trips, field research, the purchase of materials and reagents necessary to conduct their own research, and the development of musical and artistic works.
The funding also covers the costs of translations and proofreading of texts intended for publication in reputed journals.
Scientists can apply for funding for research activities in the amount of up to PLN 10,000, and in the case of international cooperation, support may amount to a maximum of PLN 20,000. The implementation period of research activities is a maximum of 12 months.
It will be possible to spend the funds awarded under the competition until December 31, 2024, in compliance with the rules regarding spending outlined in the regulations.
