This year's 18th edition of the Millennium Docs Against Gravity festival will be held between May 14-23, 2021, and it will feature the Polish premieres of two pandemic documentaries produced at the Kieślowski Film School in 2020.

"Hello Grandma" (2020), dir. Kamila Chojnacka tells the story of a young married couple that, during the lockdown, are trying to cope with tension and their rebellious grandmother. The film had its world premiere on November 21, 2020 in the student competition of the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival IDFA.

"Seal Story" (2020), dir. Bartłomiej Błaszczyński tells the story of Jakub, whose forced isolation took place in the Icelandic Museum of Ghosts, Elves and Northern Lights, where he spent the entire lockdown feeling like the only person on the planet. The film had its world premiere in the student competition of the Prix Europa festival in Potsdam (Germany) in October 2020.

The Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival is the largest film festival in Poland. Its last edition attracted a total of 170 700 viewers. The festival will be held this year in seven cities: Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdynia, Katowice, Poznań, Bydgoszcz and Lublin. This year an online part of the Festival will be organized, during which some of the films from this year's program will be presented.
