„Last days of summer” at Vienna Shorts

Last days of summer (2020) dir. Klaudia Kęska begins its international festival circuit. The first stop is Vienna, where the 18th edition of the Vienna Shorts Festival takes place from May 27 - June 1, 2021. The Vienna Shorts Festival is on the prestigious list of Oscar qualifying festivals, European Film Awards and BAFTA Awards.

Last days of summer takes part in the international competition FIDO (Fiction & Documentary). This year, 27 films from 20 countries were qualified for the competition, 18 of which were directed by women. The international premiere of our film will take place on Sunday, May 30 at 5:30 pm in Stadtkino, Vienna. The next screenings will take place on the festival's online platform.

Last days of summer tells the story of a teenage Tosia who faces a difficult moral dilemma - a choice between justice and the protection of the beloved ones. The film's cinematographer is Kamil Małecki. The production was managed by: Stanisław Bryś, Aleksandra Gajdosz and Ewa Dubiel. The producer of the film is Krystyna Doktorowicz (Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia).

The film had its world premiere at the 60th Krakow Film Festival, where it received the Award for the best Cinematography in the Polish Competition and the Acting Award for Julia Kuzka.
