"Hello, Grandma" in the Competition at MDOC - Melgaço International Documentary Film Festival

Halo Babciu (2020), dir. Kamila Chojnacka is competing for the Jean Loup Passek Award in the short and medium-length category at the Portuguese MDOC - Melgaço International Documentary Film Festival. The 7th edition of the festival takes place on August 2-8, 2021.

The Portuguese premiere of our film will take place on Wednesday, August 4 at 5:00 pm at Casa da Cultura.

Halo Babciu tells the story of a young married couple who, during the lockdown, are trying to cope with tension and a rebellious grandmother.

MDOC - Melgaço International Documentary Film Festival is organized by the Melgaço City Hall and the AO NORTE Association. The festival aims to promote social and ethnographic cinema. It focuses on films about identity, memory and crossing borders.
