Our student of directing, Karol Ulman, received the Zuzanna Jagoda Kolska Award for the youngest filmmaker participating in the New Horizons International Film Festival.
The award funded by Grażyna Błęcka-Kolska and Jan Jakub Kolski was awarded for the fourth time at the festival. The award is a gesture of support for the author's talent.
In the Shortlist section of the Nowe Horyzonty festival, the film End of the World (2020), produced at the Kieslowski Film School in Katowice, was presented.
As the founders point out, the goal of the award is to encourage filmmakers to tell stories in the language of their own sensitivity, to persevere on the uncertain artistic road of development.
The Zuzanna Jagoda Kolska Award is, above all, a warm and vivid remembrance of Zuzanna's now-absent voice. We want to reward courage. To support youth. To provide an opportunity for development. To believe that every bit of help carries goodness onward. To remember Zuzia.
