Polish People’s Republic, 1977. To fulfill a dream of an foreign study trip, a young, gifted mathematician, Marcin, has to take care of an overdue, obligatory military service. He checks in to the psychiatric ward, pretending to be ill. Fascinated by Marcin’s intellect doctor, decides to cure him.
