Bogdan Dziworski

Cinematographer, photographer and director of documentary films.

Since 1980 a lecturer at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia in Katowice, where he was also the Dean. A graduate of the PWSTviT cinematography department. Author of the photo albums “1/250 sek.” (2000) and “f5.6” (2006).

Bogdan Dziworski has been awarded many times at film festivals: he received the main prize "Golden Dragon" at the International Short Film Festival in Krakow for his film “Kilka opowieści o człowieku” (1983). He also received the award for cinematography for Grzegorz Królikiewicz's feature film “Wieczne pretensje” (1974) at the Gdańsk Film Festival in 1975. Paweł Pawlikowski's documentary film cinematographer in " Z Moskwy do Pietuszek z Wieniediktem Jerofiejewem" (1990) and "Tripping with Zirinovski" (1995).

Bogdan Dziworski is an artist recognized both as a cinematographer and as a director. Currently cooperates with LEICA Gallery, which organizes exhibitions of his photographs in Poland and abroad.
