Piotr Ślęzak

Lawyer, legal counsellor, a specialist in intellectual property law. He studied law at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Silesia. His PhD thesis he defended at the home faculty in 1998, where also his habilitation colloquium was held in 2007. Scholarship bursar of the Max Planck Institute in Munich. Since 2008 he is an arbitrator for the Arbitration Court for Internet Domains at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

He lectured (civil law and intellectual property law) at the University of Silesia, University of Economics in Katowice, School of Banking in Poznan, Higher School of Tourism in Żywiec, Higher School of Management and Marketing in Sosnowiec. During the term 2008 – 2012, he was Associate Dean for Students at the Faculty of Radio and Television, and during the term 2012 - 2015 an Attorney of the Dean for the quality of education. Awarded with the Rector Prize at the University of Silesia (1998, 2008).
