Adam Sikora

Cinematographer, director, screenwriter, photographer and painter.

Graduate of the Cinematography Department of the PWSFTViT in Łódź. Winner of numerous awards. Producer of many TV Theater performances and Polish Television cultural programs, incl. “Garden of Arts and Conversations for the new age”. Author of numerous photo exhibitions.

Academic lecturer at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School, University of Silesia, director of the Cinematography and Photography course.

The most important part of his achievements are films made jointly with Lech Majewski - „Pokój saren”, „Wojaczek”, „Angelus”, „Młyn o krzyż”; Jerzy Skolimowski - „Cztery noce z Anną i „Essential Killing” and with Piotr Dumała – „Las”, which brought him many prestigious awards and recognition of critics.

Author of documentary films showing Upper Silesia from different perspectives, „Bluesmeni. Ballada o Janku »Kyksie« Skrzeku”, „Boże Ciało”.

Winner, among others, of the Eagle – a Polish Film Award for cinematography for the film „Cztery noce z Anną", awards for cinematography at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia for "Essential Killing" and the Czech Lion (Award of the Czech Academy of Film and Television Arts) for cinematography for the film „Ve stinu” of Ve Ondříček.
