Fantastic Matt Parey

Today we want to show off three graduates of the Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia, whose combination of forces resulted in a film entitled "Fantastic Matt Parey".

We are talking about Bartosz Paduch - the director of the film, Maciej Kochajewski - the cinematographer and Justyna Kluczewska, one of the producers of the film from the Raban Foundation. Big applause for you!

On May 19, the film will be shown in Katowice's Kino Kosmos!

The film is an attempt to capture the phenomenon of Maciej Parowski, the editor responsible for the emerging fame of several generations of Polish fantasy writers. He was behind the success of such titles as The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski, on the basis of which the CD PROJEKT RED game and the series for Netflix were created, and the Oscar-nominated The Cathedral by Tomasz Bagiński, based on a story by Jacek Dukaj. The animated sequences of the comic book alter ego of the main character are a great complement to the recalled memories. The titular Matt Parey, seemingly withdrawn from the creators he created, exerted a huge influence on the Polish fantasy market for the next decades.

The film premiered on May 14 at Kinoteka PKiN during the 20th edition of Millennium Docs Against Gravity. We would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone interested in watching the film to check the graphic plan that we have attached in the post on our social media. Many cities, many festival shows.
