Marcin Lesisz's "The Rocking Horses" Wins the Grand Prix at the 15th Solanin Film Festival

"The Rocking Horses" by Marcin Lesisz, a graduate of Kieślowski Film School, has bagged the Grand Prix at the 15th Solanin Film Festival! 🏆

In addition to direction, Lesisz handled the cinematography and screenplay. Magdalena Gonera was the film's production manager.

The documentary short had also won another award in a festival; this time the jury was composed of acclaimed Polish director and lecturer of our school, Beata Dzianowicz; Czech director, Vavřinec Menšl; and actors, Magdalena Koleśnik and Miron Jagniewski.

The film, funded by the Polish Filmmakers Association and the Polish Film Institute, was made at the Munk Studio. Domino Film, co-owned by Małgorzata Domin and Dominika Mandla, lecturers at our school, is the executive producer.

"The Rocking Horses" also received the Jan Machulski Awards for the best documentary film and best editing. The latter award went to Marcin Sucharski.
