𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐭 returns from the 42nd Busan International Short Film Festival with an award! 👏
We are very pleased to announce that Burnout has earned the recognition of the jury and received the 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 (𝐃𝐌 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝) in the International Competition!
👥 𝐉𝐮𝐫𝐲’𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:
The balance between personal life and work life, the constant pressure, and high levels of anxiety, depression, and stress have made women's mental health more visible, but it remains taboo in many societies. Cinema can help in the task of giving it the importance it deserves — it is very important to reflect on it. The short film Burnout does so brilliantly.
Heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in the production. We are proud that such a large group of our students represented our School at this prestigious film event this year. 🥰
🎬 Burnout | Directed by Marta Z. Nowak | Cinematography by Jakub Stoszek | Production management: Gabriela Fita, Tomasz Widera & Wiktoria Goczoł | Produced by the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School, University of Silesia in Katowice, 2024
