We are pleased to announce that on Friday, June 13th, during the ceremonial celebrations of the 57th anniversary of the University of Silesia, honorary awards were presented in recognition of outstanding scientific and artistic achievements of the university staff. Among the awardees was Prof. Krystyna Doktorowicz, who received the award from the hands of the Rector of the University of Silesia, Prof. Ryszard Koziołek.

Last Friday was an exceptionally successful day for the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School, as even before the evening concert at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music Concert Hall in Katowice, the Rector’s awards were presented!

Among the award recipients were our students:

🏅 Kacper Anaczkowski – for his artistic achievements and cultural involvement as a student of Film and Television Production Organization. He has produced, among others, 13 short films, in which he served as production manager.

🏅 Katarzyna Flegel – for her social work as a student of Film and Television Production Organization. She is actively involved with the Katowice-based Wolne Miejsce Foundation, participating in the organization of events primarily aimed at people struggling with loneliness.

In addition, the ceremonial gala was hosted by our faculty’s students – Lidia Le Thanh and Maciej Idczak. Thank you for your dedication!

The entire celebration was highlighted by the academic concert "Silesia – New Eden."
