We are delighted to announce that Tadeusz Chudy, a graduate of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia in Katowice, is presenting his documentary On My Own Terms as part of the project insider on tour – Polish documentaries in art-house cinemas, organized by the Krakow Film Festival and the Krakow Film Foundation.
Put on your boxing gloves and join Paweł! The young man trains in boxing, but a bigger challenge than his next fight in the ring is the attempt to become independent. Soon, he will have to decide whether to stay longer in foster care or leave the center and try life outside its walls. Paweł’s foster sister has inherited an apartment, which encourages her to take a step toward a new life. Will the protagonist join her? It’s hard to grow up when there are no good role models around, and a sports career doesn’t guarantee a stable future. Regardless of what happens in the boy’s life, what matters most is his relationship with the person closest to him.
