We are among the winners of the Student Academy Awards (52nd Student Academy Awards)!
We are thrilled to announce that our short feature film Dad’s Not Home, directed by student Jan Saczek, has been named one of the 14 winners of the Student Academy Awards in the Live Action category!

This is a tremendous honor both for the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia in Katowice, as the producer of the film, and for the director, Jan Saczek, for whom this award opens the door to an international career.
All Student Academy Award-winning films are now eligible to compete for the 98th Oscars® in the following categories: Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, and Documentary Short Film.
It is worth noting that past winners of this prestigious award have gone on to receive 69 Oscar® nominations and win or share 15 Academy Awards.
The official award ceremony will take place on Monday, October 6, at 6:00 p.m. ET, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City, during the New York Film Festival, in collaboration with Rolex.
The Student Academy Awards, established in 1972, were created to provide a platform for emerging global talent and to give young filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work within the industry.
