We are pleased to announce the composition of the Program Council of the Documentary and Feature Film Studios for the 2026–2030 term, and we are proud to share that among those appointed are the Dean of our Film School, Professor Krystyna Doktorowicz, and our lecturer, Agnieszka Smoczyńska!
This is a great distinction both for those appointed and for our Film School. We are delighted by the involvement of such important figures in the audiovisual sector. The Dean is a specialist in two disciplines: media and social communication studies, as well as film and theatre arts. For many years, she has successfully combined research, teaching, organizational, and public engagement activities.
Agnieszka Smoczyńska is a director and screenwriter with a broad academic background. In addition to graduating from our faculty, where she currently teaches, she also studied art history at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (2001) and cultural studies at the University of Wrocław (2002). Her body of work includes numerous films, among them the multi-award-winning Silent Twins.
The Council serves as an advisory and consultative body to the Director of the Documentary and Feature Film Studios. Its members are responsible, among other duties, for reviewing the institution’s annual and long-term strategic plans and assessing their implementation.
Congratulations!
