With pride and joy, we are pleased to announce that Professor Krzysztof Zanussi — an outstanding director, screenwriter, and lecturer at our Faculty — has been awarded the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre!

This prestigious distinction is a recognition of the Professor’s remarkable artistic achievements, his impact on the development of European film culture, and his invaluable contribution to the education of future generations of filmmakers. For many years, Krzysztof Zanussi has generously shared his knowledge and experience with young filmmakers, inspiring them to pursue artistic exploration, bold thinking, and creative integrity.

The official award ceremony is taking place today, June 11, in the Grand Hall of LMTA.
