Join us for a unique photography exhibition opening!
On November 7 at 7:00 PM, the 4 Arte Gallery in Częstochowa (1 Maja 27) will host the vernissage of an exhibition by Krzysztof Szlapa, lecturer at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia.
🔹 "Scenographies – Views of the City Within Me" — as Justyna Hanna Budzik writes in the exhibition’s introduction:
Surfaces seem to particularly interest the artist, both as shapes, stains, planes, and as metaphors of veiling the gaze from depth, detail, interior. These are planes of bricks, concrete, textiles, leaves, glass, clean light. In front of them stands the photographer and the viewer; behind them unfolds the representation we are watching the scenographies for. The titular “views” refer to an earlier series — “Postcards of the city within me,” combining photographs with short texts, like on traditional postcards.
