Monitoring the further fate of graduates is ensured, on the one hand, by the Career Office established at the University of Silesia, which systematically informs interested faculties and fields of study about the results of its research; on the other hand, the Faculty of the Film School Krzysztof Kieślowski is in constant contact with audiovisual industry institutions that provide opportunities to employ faculty graduates and has the ability to track the professional careers of its graduates based on information published in departmental publications and on industry websites (e.g. National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers, Polish Film Institute, Polish Film database, Stopklatka.pl, and others).
The Film School Faculty monitors the fate of graduates using the analysis of publicly available data, such as the nationwide system for monitoring the economic fate of graduates (ELA): https://ela.nauka.gov.pl/pl and the University of Silesia Career Office, as well as on the basis of contacts with external stakeholders of the Faculty or individual contacts of Faculty employees with graduates of the field.

The study “Professional fate of graduates of the University of Silesia” aims to obtain information on how our graduates cope on the labor market, how they evaluate their studies at the University of Silesia from the perspective of time and labor market requirements, which program content they use most often in their professional life, what industries they work in and in what positions, and how satisfied they are with their position on the labor market.
All this data is transferred to the University authorities and analyzed in terms of possible changes in teaching programs, so that our graduates can fulfill their professional lives as best as possible.
