The Student Government of the University of Silesia is composed of all students of the University of Silesia. The local government is the only democratic and independent representative of the interests of the University of Silesia student community. At the Faculty level, the Student Government is represented by the Faculty Self-Government Council, and at the University level it is represented by the University Student Government Council.
The main tasks of the Faculty Student Government Council are:
– representing students before the Faculty Authorities;
– submitting motions, postulates and opinions to the Faculty Authorities (e.g. applying for dean’s hours);
– taking care of the well-being of students and promoting student life at the Faculty.
