Between 17-19.02.2020 our School was visited by a guest lecturer Sergei Loznitsa, Ukrainian film director and screenwriter, laureate of numerous major film festivals, among others, in Cannes, Karlove Vary, Cracow Film Festival. The visit was possible thanks to the implementation of an EU project “One University – Many Possibilities. Integrated Program” conducted at our University. During the classes students have watched three films directed by him: “My Joy” (1010), “Maidan” (2014) and “Donbas” (2018). Each film was followed by a discussion.

Bites

In November in our School we organized the VFX workshops focusing on motion control. We were able to test the robot brought to us by Bites, which enables to design very precise and repetitive movements. This proves to be crucial in the advertising shots, where often rapid movements in the micro scale are needed.

Students were also practising the use of the machine in the macro scale while multiplying the actor.

Below a short showreel from the workshops by our student Filip Czernow: link
