This year's edition of Kameralne Lato in Radom finished on 7th July.

The jury awarded the award of "ZŁOTY ŁUCZNIK"- GRAND PRIX OF THE MAIN COMPETITION to the film Dust dir. Jakub Radej, DoP. Józefina Gocman, prod. Krystyna Dobrzańska.

During the festival, nominations from the Polish Independent Cinema of Jan Machulski were handel to: in the "Best Director" category in the Main Competition, the nomination went to Damian Kocur for the film Nothing New Under The Sun, and in the category of "Best Documentary Film" in the Main Competition - Dust, dir. Jakub Radej.

The building of the Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia received the Grand Prix of the Association of Polish Architects.

The jury appreciated the project by BAAS Arquitectura, Grupa 5 Architekci and Biuro Projektowe MAŁECCY for "a contribution to the revitalization of city space, sensitivity and creativity in the use of materials characteristic for the place - ceramics" and "for plastic delicacy that allows the architecture of different eras to coexist."

The Award of the Year of the Association of Polish Architects was established in 1983 and has been awarded for over 30 years for objects with significant architectural values erected in Poland.

The jury of this year's edition of the competition included: vice president of SARP architect Grzegorz Stiasny (chairman), representative of the Association of Russian Architects, architect Janusz Grycel, architect Magdalena Kozień-Woźniak, architect Zenon Remi, architect Marta Sękulska-Wrońska, representative of the Governing Council of SARP architect Hubert Wąsek, landscape architect Marek Szeniawski and two representatives of the Patron of the competition.

The competition for the architectural award of Bryla Roku 2017 has been a great success. This year's edition is the eleventh edition of the Bryla.pl competition.
The most votes of the Jurors and thus the Award was given to the building oft he Faculty of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia in Katowice.
The second place in the online competition was also won by our new building. Our building received 2422 votes. Just to remind, the project was prepared by the offices of Grupa 5 Architekci from Warsaw and BAAS Arquitectes from Barcelona. The construction and executive design is a joint work of both studios and architects from the Małeccy Biuro Projektowe.

Dust by Jakub Radej has won another prize and this time it is an Audience Award.

Opavský Páv is an international festival for student films that combines the presentation of the best films and audiovisual education. The aim of the festival is to motivate and inspire young people and to convince the general public that student films deserve more attention. The festival offers not only screenings of the best short films of various genres, but also workshops and lectures for the public. .

For the 15th time between 12 and 13. April, student short films could be watched during the Węgiel Film Festival. The event is organized annually by second-year students of the Film and Television Production as part of the workshop classes run by Anna Huth (Festival coordinator).

This year's jubilee edition of the Festival took place in the cinema of the Department of Radio and Television at 3 Paweł Street and was connected with the Faculty's open days. As every year, candidates for the studies had the opportunity to consult their photographic works and scripts. Candidates for the Film and Television Production fort he first time could take part in a lecture on the subject of the work of the production manager led by Małgorzata Domin.

During the Festival, 29 films (including 6 animations) from around the world were presented to the audience, and the Jury chaired by Krzysztof Lang chose the winners in 5 categories. The winners received attractive prizes in the form of post-production services and rental of film equipment.

During the Festival, two Masterclasses were held for the students of cinematography and candidates for this major. The Masterclass for the candidates was led by the cinematographer and lecturer of WRiTV, dr Paweł Chorzępa, and the Masterclass for students by Wojciech Staroń, cinematographer and laureate of the PSC Prize oft he Association of Cinematographers for best cinematography for the full-length feature film of 2017.
