Produced at the Kieslowski Film School short fiction film "Last days of summer" (2020), dir. Klaudia Kęska returns from the 63rd edition of the International Short Film Festival BRNO16 with the Audience Award.

The film's cinematographer is Kamil Małecki. The production was managed by: Stanisław Bryś, Aleksandra Gajdosz, Ewa Dubiel. The producer of the film is Krystyna Doktorowicz.

"Last days of summer" tells the story of a teenage Tosia who faces a difficult moral dilemma - a choice between justice and the protection of loved ones.

The 63rd edition of the International Short Film Festival BRNO16 was held on October 12-16, 2022. BRNO16 is one of the oldest film festivals in the Czech Republic, held continuously since 1960. It is also one of the oldest short film festivals in the world. BRNO16 presents various types of short films.

Produced at the Kieslowski Film School documentary shorts "Joanna d'Arc" (2022) dir. Aleksander Szamałek and "Imprisoned" (2021) dir. Piotr Bieliński, return from the 20th edition of the Opolskie Lamy Film Festival with awards in the Main Short Film Competition in the documentary category. The awards were granted by the Jury composed of: Katarzyna Kebernik, Mateusz Demski and Michał Ciechomski.

"Imprisoned", dir. Piotr Bieliński received a special mention for "raising an important and current topic, for capturing and presenting a non-obvious parental relationship that brings hope and understanding."

"Joanna d'Arc", dir. Aleksander Szamałek received a special mention for "sensitivity and empathy in portraying a non-obvious, strong and steadfast heroine."

This year's laureates of the Feature Film Main Competition include graduates of the Kieslowski Film School. Marcin Filipowicz received the Grand Prix among feature films for the film "Broys". On the other hand, Piotr Rosołowski together with Elwira Nievera received the Grand Prix among documentary productions for the film "Hamlet Syndrome".

The 20th Opolskie Lamy Film Festival was held on October 7-15, 2022.

We invite you to a meeting with a lecturer at the Kieslowski Film School in Katowice, dr hab. Bogdan Tosza, which will be held on October 18 at 4.30 pm at the Liber Bookshop at ul. Bankowa 11 in Katowice.

The meeting will cover, inter alia, recent books by dr hab. Bogdan Tosza: „Daremny przechodzień” (A futile passer-by) Universitas Publishing House, Krakow 2021 and "Zapiski z Rosji" (Notes from Russia) Austeria Publishing House, 2022.

The organizers of the event are: Księgarnia Liber S.C. and Universitas Publishing House.

24 short films from all over the world were qualified for the Authors Spotlight competition of the 13th edition of the Kamera Akcja Film Critics Festival. Among them are 2 shorts produced at the Kieslowski Film School in Katowice.

The 13th Kamera Akcja Festival will be held on October 13-16, 2022: stationary in Łódź and online on the Think Film platform (October 17-20).

Moreover, in the non-competitive section of student shorts on the Think Film platform there is a film "Shiver" (2022), dir. Joanna Różniak with cinematography by Łukasz Łatanik. Jakub Lebiedziński was the production manager of the film.

The event is organized by the FKA Foundation with the support of the City of Łódź Office, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Polish Film Institute and the University of Łódź. The films will be shown in the screening rooms of the Lodz Film School. Some of the events are also planned in the nearby Museum of Cinematography.

Belmondawg music video - "P.S.W.I.S." (DJ Eprom remix) directed by Julian Tałandziewicz with cinematography by Maksymilian Plater in the production of Nanimo Films (executive producer Małgorzata Turek) was nominated for the Grand Video Awards 2022 in the music video category. The winners of the competition will be announced at the gala that will take place on October 13 at 8:00 p.m. at Kino Luna in Warsaw. The entire event will be broadcasted live on WP.pl, press.pl and on the Press and GVA channels on Facebook.
